Man, there are some tough picks this week. Putting them in order is a tall task.

8. Western Michigan over Ball State. WMU wins soundly and sets the stage for the conference's two undefeated teams next week.
7. Northern Illinois over Buffalo. NIU is riding high. They'll be tough to beat from here on.
6. Akron over UMass. I have to think Akron finds a way to win this one.
5. Buffalo over Kent State. Buffalo is playing well and Kent does not have enough offense. I do think Kent will be a surprise player in the east next year.
4. MU over Eastern Michigan. Anybody watching this game should be reminded of their Geneva Convention rights.
3. Ohio over Kent State. Ohio played well against us but they were overmatched. I'm wondering if they do not collapse again this year but maybe finish strong.
2. Bowling Green over Western Michigan. The conference's last two undefeated teams play what could be the conference game of the year. WMU is a great team but BG's offense is just too much. And the defense learns from their Ohio mistakes and plays much better against the ground game. BIG BG win.
1. CMU over UT. Hard call here but UT got exposed by a weakened NIU and CMU beat a healthy NIU early. CMU has been less than dominant recently but a) are two points from undefeated in conference play and b) have a nice long break to rest up. So I'll take CMU.
