Article on cbssports.com mentions DJ Durkin and being at the top of BG's list should Coach Babers leave after the season.

Like all similar threads in every other sport in every other season ... we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

With Houston and Memphis each saying they are backing up the Brinks truck to their coaches, Babers is going to get offered a ton.
Another alum hire would be interesting. Also would be interested in what kind of offense Durkin would run.
I think he ends up getting a higher profile job.

Durkin has been a DC for two of the very best college coaches going today (I think our boy Urban might be the GOAT). I don't see him taking a MAC gig unless we can double what we pay Dino. My preference is that we keep Dino.....

I'd like to keep Dino. But, Houston is reportedly offering Herman 3 million. Yahoo is reporting Memphis made Fuentes an offer north of that. Unless BG can find a spare 2 million laying around....he's not staying.

I'm sure Dino will leave at some point. I'm just not so sure it will be this year.
I heard him speak at a Coaches Clinic last year (for local youth sports coaches) and he made a statement at the conference that he never takes a job based solely on money. Obviously, there are other reasons to go to a higher profile school, such as the opportunity to play for a National Championship.
I guess time will tell. Dino just doesn't strike me as the guy who bolts out of here just for a paycheck.
