Toledo not going to a bowl??

Post by BGSU33 »

In light of everything we just went through with Babers and UCF, let me be very, very clear - I do NOT know if this is true or not - but I just heard a crazy story that Matt Campbell's office was trashed and now Toledo isn't going to a bowl?? I have nothing to back this up whatsoever other than it was passed along to me, and I have no idea if it's true or not, but if it's indeed true, wow is all I can say.

Uhh...what? If you have nothing to back it up then don't post it...

It's okay to toss out a rumor, especially when it involves Toledo being dumb.

In all seriousness....what would a trashed office have to do with not going to a bowl game? With all the problems they are going to have filling bowls, the MAC commish may make the band suit up and play.

LOL......the only thing crazier than that would be BG beating Akron in basketball. Anyone know how many they have won in a row? It's been a bit.

I was just told by someone at work with a Toledo connection. I'm just passing along what I was told. Again, no idea whatsoever if there's any truth behind it at all or not. Very odd story to surface though either way.

I was told a player/players may have done it. If so, it could be like several years ago when Clemson & South Carolina got into a fight on the field and both schools declined a bowl.

Hmm....it would have had to have been A LOT of Toledo players. That brawl had 30-40 players from each team.

The slimy SOB started offering UT recruits the minute he signed his contract.... he might have looted his office of recruiting files. That might be how it got trashed.

Not sure how that would kept them from bowling.

Clawson is a class act... he left our recruits alone when he left.

That 2014 class turned out to be a good one for BG. And as a kicker he took Toledo's top QB recruit from that year.

Maybe they also stole the Peace Pipe and can return it to the school that has the better overall record in this series. ;)
