MAC Pick 'em - Bowl Mania!

Standings are updated including the MACC and subsequent guesses. I did award points for any stats which people went over but were closest, for example Beaker earned ten points for Johnson's passing yards even though it was over and above. Figured it was only fair. I awarded 5 bonus points to kdog27 for accurately predicting that Tyler Tate would indeed miss an XP.

For bowl picks, you can wager up to 20 points but cannot replicate your point amount for two games. For example, I cannot pick Temple and BG to both win their games for 20 points. However, I can choose BG for 20 and Temple for 19. Pick wisely as incorrect guesses will result in a loss of points.

At the end of the bowls, the top three places will be awarded Amazon gift cards. I will PM each person in early January with more information.

Hard picks this year, no obvious ones.

20 Utah State over Akron. I just can't get the way we dispatched Akron with such ease out of my head.
17 Boise State over Northern Illinois. Betting against Boise State in a bowl game? Bad idea.
15 Bowling Green over Georgia Southern. We won't stuff the run but we'll play well defensively. And our offense gets the job done.
11 Temple over UT. Temple will win the good ol' fashioned way.
10 CMU over Minnesota. This is a bit hopeful here. CMU has played tight but not complete against power teams and maybe they get it done this time in front of a raucous home crowd. I just can't stand the thought of a 5-7 (2-6) team in a bowl game or worse, winning it.
8 WMU over MTSU. Hard telling here. I'll take WMU's run offense.
5 Ohio over Appalachian State. I just get the feeling OU is better than anybody thought and a healthy OU is better than a second place Sun Belt team.

I will likely just need to give out positive points and not subtract anything, it's only fair for those who chose to pick the championship and bowl games.

It doesn't look like that will end up being an issue. I was certainly no math major, so I may very well be off with my figures, but I just ran the numbers with 6 of the 7 games in the books and it looks like kdog, you win the whole shootin' match if Minnesota wins on Monday. If CMU wins, then I will finish tied at the top with edjwolfe, who didn't play the bowl games. Of course my count is meaningless. When I do math, 2 + 2 doesn't always = 4. Sometimes my abacus fails me.
