Good luck at Fremont Ross. That's my alma mater. As long as he is okay with not making everybody happy, he'll be fine. Unfortunately, the last coach made the wrong people mad.

He gave the most candid interview I had ever seen about area youth and parents. Was really interesting.

I appreciated that he was very open and honest about things. Fremont is a city of "names" (think about the movie Varsity Blues). You can make enemies pretty quick if you don't cater to the correct names. I'm glad Coach Yeast found a better job at Franklin College. Chad Long either has to go with the flow and play the political game (but probably not get the most out of his team) or play the best players and commit political suicide.

From what you guys are saying, are these the reasons that the LITTLE GIANTS arent that big anymore?
Seems like Fremont used to be a NW Ohio power, but not lately.

Awesome to hear. He was a very solid player and reaped the benefits of Meyer's 1st yr. That 2001 team was special...didn't win the league title or get to a bowl game but we beat 3 BCS teams in the same season and crushed tsun 56-21 on a balmy 60 degree night in front of 26,000+ at the Doyt. Great to see Falcons soaring in life.

A game in which somebody had snuck in a 5 gallon bucket of haory Buffalo we were dipping into in the student section...and I somehow lost a shoe in the melee of carrying the goalposts towards wooster.

Yeah, mine too - class of 99. Hopefully, Chad can get the program back to where it belongs. I like his approach to it already.
