Hackenberg sounds skeptical of how well Bowling Green can do this year, but unwilling to really go out on a limb on that.

Hack seems to think we're EMU instead of the defending champions. Glass "drier than dust?" That's a bit much.
We lost a QB. We have a QB returning that started a full year and a 4 star recruit behind him.
We lost Travis Greene. We have Fred Coppett.
We lost 3 receivers. We have Ronnie Moore, Teo Redding and a bunch of talented underclassmen.
He has no Ohio recruiting ties. He kept two coaches on the staff that have them and outstanding recruiters can recruit anywhere.
We open at Ohio State. Considering Toledo and NIU don't even play a Power 5 team anywhere on their schedule he's got a point there. When the early rankings come out and those two are inevitably up there you know why.

Behind Fred C I would add don't Wilson who at 6' 230lbs is fast and quick but will use it to make a run at you, and don't forget Matt Dome r almost 6' and 200lbs busted through the line for a 97 yd TD as a freshman ( can't wait to see him play either). An O line that should be better than last year.

Do we really care when Hackenberg has to say? His reporting does nothing but ooze Midnight Blue and Gold..

Guess we'll find out....like Coach Jinks said, "The cupboard is far from bare".
The O line will be a force...4 starters back and one of the most experienced lines in the nation.

I think our offense will be able to score points, despite all of the talent we lost on that side of the ball. We had a lot of young players seeing action on defense last year and aside from the bowl performance, the defensive trend was to improve as the year went on. I'm hoping that can continue into and throughout this season. I think it's the defense that'll determine if we have a team that's middle of the road or one that can win the MAC.

Agreed Beaker. The biggest issue with our D last year was not getting off the field on 3rd and longs. We seemed to give up way too may first down conversions. the O won't be quite a prolific as last year but still put up BiG numbers. I think our D will be solid.
