After hearing the news about Robbie Rhodes being dismissed, I decided to take a look at the roster and see who else may be gone that we haven't yet heard about. I also noticed there were a few new names to the roster too.

Not listed on the roster any longer:
WR Robbie Rhodes (dismissed)
DB Bobo Jones
LB Griff Saunders
LB Harrison Roberts
LB Quintaz Wright (was a transfer from Millikan)
K Blake Levin (was a JUCO transfer)
K Sam Crosa

New names on roster:
WR Vanel Dossous (looks to be a JUCO transfer, I assume he'll be eligible this year)
WR Tristan Davis
DB Romeo Masuku (transfer from Rhode Island, I assume he'll have to sit out this year)
DL Saquan Gwaltney

Masuku may not have to sit out since he is going from FCS to FBS.

I think not on the roster doesn't necessarily mean they're gone... It could be that they just aren't eligible right now

Masuku may not have to sit out since he is going from FCS to FBS.

You have that backwards. Assuming he was at Rhode Island last year, he would have to sit out unless he applied for a special circumstance (for example: a death in family and want to play closer to home, Penn State debacle, etc.) and received a waiver. You can transfer down (FBS to FCS) and not sit out, but if you transfer up (FCS to FBS) or transfer laterally (FBS to another FBS) you have sit out. For example, Brian Jennings transferred from EIU to BG last year and had to sit out. Or, a reverse example, Robbie Rhodes could transfer to an FCS school and play this fall. Unless you get a special circumstance waiver that allows you to play immediately, when transferring to the FBS (does not apply to JUCO's) or to another FBS school, you have to sit out. Then of course there's the graduate transfer cases too.

Just to make sure there's no confusion on the roster as was posted yesterday on BGSUFalcons.com ...

* Any player who was on the 2015 roster who is not on the 2016 roster can be assumed to no longer be in the program
* There may be additions prior to the start of the season who simply do not have the proper paperwork completed yet. They will be added as approved by compliance.

I see Blake Levin is now listed

Michigan graduate transfer Da'Mario Jones still isn't listed but I'm guessing he'll be one of the players we see added late.

Between Dossous, Miller, and Moore, I feel good about our speedy slot receivers. What I don't have a good feeling on is the outs. Babers used Lewis, Dieter, Jackson, and Redding there these past two years, and only Redding remains. This is where losing Rhodes really hurts. Even if he did not live up to his potential, simply contributing would have been nice.

Agreed. Such a shame to see all that talent to waste.
