Unfortunately, this is the new reality for us in the college football world. We need two buy games every year now to make budgets meet with cost of attendance. More often than not, that means five home game seasons. We'll see the new AD's philosophy moving forward on this.

Like playing NW...wish it was at the Doyt.

I like it, too. Bummer to only have five home games, and to not get a 2-for-1 from Northwestern, but overall it isn't a bad schedule.

The website FBS Schedules has BG playing at Louisiana Tech in 2018. I see we host them in 2019. I gotta believe this is a home-and-home and whoever put the BG release together accidentally left it off.

Season tix will be a tough sell in 2017. One home game in Sept against FCS and three road games? Five games at home...probably a couple in Oct if we're lucky and the other two on random November evenings.

Season tickets will always be a tough sell here anymore.

5 home games doesn't bother me. One of them against an FCS team does, but a bitch for another day.

Good to know and thanks for the update. Also, just a suggestion, it would be nice to see a future schedules link again on the website like we used to have a few years ago. I know these future schedules are subject to change, and they often do, but for someone like myself who likes to plan ahead to make some of these trips and also keep an eye on what is new or added for down the road, it was a nice tool to have. Plus, it was also nice to be able to go to our own website to find this info and not other sources where that info is often posted and updated. I see a number of FBS schools that post future schedules on their websites too. Just a suggestion. Thanks again.

BG should shoot for 5 home games a year, every year. The extra road game should be to try and secure as big a payout as possible. We should play two of those a year...yeah you'll probably lose twice, but I'd rather see us play a road game against a P5 opponent rather than waste a home game with an FCS opponent. Not to mention, a good guarantee would help fund the program.

Plus with 5 home games marketing can focus more on improving attendance for 5 games as opposed to 6.
