I know were kind of joking about the stock color suggestion, which I think is hilarious. But there is a nice post on JJ Huddle by someone named crew_love who has a picture of the new BGSU helmet, which illustrates this very issue of the "watermelon" color. The color in this picture is not the same orange as in years past. Take a look to see what DD suggested as a "watermelon" orange may actually be the new orange for this year.

from that thread on JJ Huddle:
Agreed! It was during my time at BG that the sculpture was put up, and I STILL have no clue what the heck the point of it is. I like abstract art, as opposed to portrait type stuff, but what is art about tall stacks of weeds & sticks? I'm sorry, the value of that thing is just lost on me! It just looks like a kickass bonfire waiting to happen!
LOLThough at BG, the art department might try to outfit the team in twenty foot tall stacks of weeds. (never did get the purpose behind that sculpture).

Speaking of Bonfires...
Wouldn't it be great if BG started a tradition similar to Texas A&M's bonfire? Now...I know that the bonfire idea turned tragic, but I'm talking about something in the same vein as the bonfire. Something where the whole student body comes out either before the Toledo game or before the season opener. How great would it be to pump up the team right before they head to Norman or UT? Hopefully as things evolve with this team, something like this will evolve.
Enough on the frigging uniforms and colors
I am a proud grad - class of 85 - and love the brown and orange, but could we please stop waxing on about the damn uniforms and helmet colors. I couldn't care less if we wore pink, orange or magenta as long as they win. Nobody cares what we think anyway.
Not trying to start an fight here but you would be suprised of the people who read these forums. I am still a student here but I'm almost positive they care what the alumni think. If the program did everything against what people wanted, alums, students, and fans would not be attending events and causing the University to lose money. I agree that seeing the teams win no matter what colors they are wearing is great, but this site is for people to voice their opinions and that is what we are all doing.I am a proud grad - class of 85 - and love the brown and orange, but could we please stop waxing on about the damn uniforms and helmet colors. I must be color blind
To be honest with you guys, I don't even notice the difference, it all looks the same orange to me. Maybe it looks different because there is no white in the middle of the logo. I think it looks the same color of the uniforms.
