Obviously, it's hard to find positives after a game like that, but two that came to mind for me were our punting and our offensive line play. Knapke had pretty good protection. And Davidson was great overall.
Coach Jinks brings up a third in this news conference: The Falcons only had a few penalties. I know this has been a source of frustration for many fans in the past.

There was also a field goal made which was nice to see given the struggles in camp. I do however cringe at our kickoff game, is Fields unable to kick the ball deep?Schadenfreude wrote:Obviously, it's hard to find positives after a game like that, but two that came to mind for me were our punting and our offensive line play. I work with his high school kicking coach who says he has great leg strength and is surprised he doesn't put it in the endzone nearly every time. I remember Babers saying last year that his kicks can be very tricky to field. Still, i would think you would be better off kicking it deep against a team like osu rather that loft it short and hope for a fumble.
