I feel bad for the players. Had they known what was ahead they certainly wouldn't be wasting their time at an ugly, miserably frigid campus in the middle of nowhere.

Just like my parents always thought, I think it is a wonderful campus. I'll be down there in a couple of weeks watching them play Miami and I know win or lose I will have a great time. Just because there having a bad year the campus sucks, come on man!!!

I loved walking across campus everday from Conklin to West Hall for classes....even in the dead of winter. Even with a crappy football team, I still love BG.

For whatever the reason, my last 2 posts didn't turn up.
Honestly, this negativity shown by many on the board disgusts me. So now we have an ugly campus? Were you bitching last year? Oh, 3 yrs of MAC championship games made the campus look better?
I'm just as upset and frustrated as the rest of you, perhaps more so since I've been around just a "bit" longer and used to seeing winning teams way back when. Joyce and I will be on that "ugly" campus on Sat. For HOMECOMING. Maybe some of you negative nellies should remember where you went to school.

I love our campus...felt like home the second I stepped on it

I love the campus and the town. One of the main reasons why I came to bg from out of state. That being said, in all honesty what were everyone's expectations this year? Think of how many players we lost from last year that were key contributors. Now......I didn't think we would lose 77-3 to Memphis but I certainly had a realistic feeling we would get beat by 30......Let's not jump off a bridge yet. Doesn't anybody remember that Clawson only won 2 games and then completely rebuilt the program and left the fridge STOCKED for when Dino got there. Let's see if Jenks can build the program as well.

On an even much more sadder note, Myles Pizza is closing this weekend officially. I will admit i was not a Myles junkie while in college but it is sad to see a staple of the community go away.

Myles is closing this weekend? What day? I was always a Pollyeyes freak but would love to grab one more Myles pie before it all ends.

We have a TON of work to do...a TON. Let's see what the MAC holds but we are gonna have to play 500% better going forward.

Sucks that Myles is closing but the rumors were rampant for the past few months. All good things must come to an end.

Denigrating the great campus BG has is sickening to me. It and the football team obviously have no correlation together and it's damaging to post something like that in a place where prospective students have the chance to see it.

Myle's Closing hurts me far more than anything this football team could ever do. Big time saddened, and this weekend there will be insane. I'll be loading up on Myle's this week for sure. And I hope to pack away a lot of it in the freezer as well.

As for this thread? It's total BS. To use the BGSUCKS thing, annoying. But then for somebody to rag on our campus or university? What the hell are you doing here, then? I'm as pissed as anybody about the football team right now, but beyond them, so what? I still love Bowling Green the city and the campus (although my favorite place in BG is leaving).

Yes, these self-deprecating threads get old after every loss. I'm as guilty as anyone else about getting frustrated, but sabotaging the school you went to and the people who represent it is simply immature. I usually try to stay away the day after a loss to let that immediate emotion drift away.
