No EMU preview

No EMU preview and no previews going forward for the time being. I put a lot of time and effort into the weekly previews and I am a bit low on time ... and motivation ... to write the weekly previews right now. Perhaps later this season or next season I'll get back to it. I've enjoyed doing these previews but I have a lot going on this fall.

So real quick, from what little I've seen of EMU, I'll just give a few small thoughts ...
- I said EMU would be improved this year. They are. Creighton is building something. I always thought he looked like a Dave Clawson type.
- The run game is pretty good. The QB zone read is a big part of the run game.
- EMU's passing game is not their friend.
- Defense plays some bend-but-don't-break.
- The front seven is far better than the secondary.
- Wyoming is a bad team. EMU beat them and showed some resilience. Previous EMU teams would not have shown the same toughness.

Wish I had time for more details. I hope we win ... and I just can't take any real guesses right now. I'm holding out some hope that our team will up their level of play against the conference teams and work to turn this season around. Let's get a good start with homecoming.

Mark, thanks for doing those previews and I get it about time. You must really take a lot of time cuz your info was as in depth as Phil Steele's. I don't care about the first 4 games anymore...as embarrassing as it was. We have to build a good game plan and execute, one play at a time. GO BG!

I caught the Wyoming game Friday night and EMU has the same issues does...poor QB play and a leaky secondary. Even given the struggles this year, BG has more talent than EMU at the very least on the offensive side of the ball, defense seems to be a wash. I expect an ugly game, especially if it rains again.
