BEAT TOLEDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Yeah, I know it's a long shot but I remember in 1981, BG was 1-4-1 and ut was 5-0. BG won 38-0. If there was ever a game to turn it around, this is it.

These are the quirks of rivalries. For once there will be no pressure on them so maybe they'll play loose. I don't expect a win but wouldn't be surprised if it happened. They aren't much better than EMU.

We have a lot of pieces of a good team. Now they all need to come together for a consistent effort. This would be a great week for it to happen.

We do not have the pieces for a good team. One you need good coaching, two you need solid QB play, three you need to tackle on defense. We do none of those things well....OU played bad today and the game was still never really close. We'll beat a couple of the awful MAC East teams but we got no chance against Toledo.

We have a QB with a hell of an arm who is building some chemistry with a group of receivers whose play has improved now in two straight weeks. We have a running game which has been pretty reliable in conference play. We have an offensive line which at their best is excellent and now needs to get consistent. We have a defense that needs help ... can't say much good there. We have the best punter in the conference. Yes we have pieces of a good team. Now they need to come together and play four excellent quarters instead of four excellent drives.

I'm no expert on technique, but I thought the tackling was pretty good yesterday.

Barring a rash of TO's from them (BTW-their RB's never fumble) or an injury to both their top running backs, this will not be close.

I expect something close to the Memphis game.

I think I haven't been this disinterested in the BG/Toledo football game since 2010. Gonna be a long day at the Glass Bowl.

Yeah...I was actually sort of upset that the game is on CBS SPorts Channel. I was hoping not to have to watch it. I decided to DVR it anyway and only watch it if we're competitive...lol

It's not that I'm all that much of a fairweather, but more that I can't stand anything about that disgusting fan base. From their childish -cks and idiotic spelling and counting obsessions to that God awful tripe their "band" plays after every stinking first down and their over-bearing PA announcer.

They suck...their University sucks..their city sucks...one of their TV stations fired Ali Bradley for God's sake. They NEED this game to provide them with a respite from all that suck. Like the nickels given to kids trick or treating for UNICEF or Muscular Dystrophy.... We'll be charitable and let them have this.

Mostly because they still won't win the MAC and they haven't since 2005 and we've won twice in three years....

They still have a clown over at their website (that they have to maintain on another platform because they have no alumni capable of creating anything better...but I digress) who adds up all the days since BG last beat them in 4 sports (ignoring all the other sports). He posts a running count each day, usually at like 5:30 in the morning. He's been doing it for well over a year now I believe. Then he adds up all the days and divides them by 365 to come up with a yearly number and he carries it to like 20 decimal points. And the guy's like 60+ years old. LMAO.

Enjoy it turdtown. It's still been longer since you last won a football title.

I was happy to see it picked up on TV, saves me the $30+ tickets and parking costs to watch a game there. I'll watch from the comfort of my living room.
