With Boise State and Navy each losing yesterday and Houston still out of the Top 25 Western Michigan is now the highest ranked on the non-power 5. If Westen wins out and wins the MACC they should play in a New Year's Day bowl game.
And you know what the means.... Bye Bye Fleck. Someone will hire him away. May hire him away anyways.

That's great for the MAC. I think it will mean a bit more revenue for all member schools. And it shows that if Western Michigan can do it, we can do it, too.

1-7 Overall
0-7 vs FBS Opponents
Wouldn't hold my breath...

Careful, you're fishing for the PJ Fleck went 1-11 his first year response.

If 33 is allowed to gloat about being right for the first time in half a decade about Ohio, then I'm allowed to gloat about WMU going 12-0 if they indeed do.

Don't worry Ohio has plenty of time to trip and fall before the MACC game. Let's not get carried away thinking they are actually good. This is still the MAC East.

Well Ohio did do something BG couldn't do the past 6 years. Beat Toledo.

Whoop de fu**ing doo...we won the MAC. OU and Toledo are islands of blight in an otherwise fair to middlin' state

Fleck will be gone before Western's bowl game if he wins the MACC, even if it is the New Year's Day bowl.

Disagree...I bet he'd coach the game if they are undefeated.

Conventional wisdom says now is the time for Fleck to make a move. He is anything but conventional.
I have heard some buzz that he may have a family reason to hold off on a move for now. I think there is a remote chance he stays around and waits for the right job to open up. The right job of course is in East Lansing.

Maybe Fleck will go be a DC for a power conference team.

Dantonio is 60, he has lost his best assistant (Narduzzi) to Pitt, and he no longer has the good fortune of going up against Hoke and Rodriguez for in-state recruits. And of course he already has one heart attack to his name. I think he may be close to retirement. Who better than the spark plug that is PJ Fleck to take over the "little brother" against the bully that is Harbaugh and Michigan?
