Akron is in free fall

Akron went bowling last year and won. They entered this season as legitimate MAC East contenders.
Now they have lost three of their last four, and more importantly their last two losses in blowouts to Buffalo and UT. Buffalo followed up the shocking win by getting destroyed by Ohio.
Given how we have played, this game might be unwatchable. But if you can stomach it, we've got a real chance at a win - would be our eighth straight over the Zips. (Last loss was November 2006, did not play 2010 or 2011.) The team could use it. They could use any wins remaining to build some momentum going into recruiting.

Until the BG defense proves they can stop someone, no game is winnable.

Then they get this BG team when they need it the most.
UA by two touchdowns.

Akron has 5 wins this year including 4 vs FBS teams and 3 vs MAC opponents. BG hasn't beaten an FBS team since last year and is winless vs the MAC. Things are so bad with BG that I'd love to be having the kind of season Akron is having right now. And if the Zips are in a free fall, then BG is in the aftermath of a free fall splattered all over the sidewalk.

I don't think I could swallow enough Maalox to be able to stomach watching any more of this season. The players need to make a list ranking the attractiveness of the cheerleaders so the p.c. police can go bonkers and we end up forfeiting the rest of the season and no one has to watch any more of this sad show. It worked for Harvard soccer team. Yeah, they were in first place in their league, but at least they don't have to play soccer any more

One losing season and everyone is ready to throw the team under the bus. I see lots of problems with the team but I have a bigger one with no fan support.
What happened to the 12 the man. There has been no fan support all season. Last time I checked we have not had over 10000 fans at a game in years.
I think the team problem is we have no solid running game. No kid that can hit the holes quick. Try one of your freshman at this position.
Morgan is going to be good, but so are the rest of these young talented kids we have on both side of the football. Toledo. W. Michigan, Ohio will be losing major players next year as we did this year.
It's easy to talk negative about our team because they are losing. Just remember that when they are winning. There are freshman on this team that came to BG and had lots of other offers. Do your homework before you go off on these young men. They can to BG because it's winning tradition. Not just Morgan, I'm taking about 95 percent of these guys.

After watching a mediocre Memphis team score 77, which could have been 100+, I chose to not waste my time watching horrible coaching. The coach will be back, the same administration will be in place (until they choose to leave), and next year will be very rough too. Just my opinion. I hope I'm way off.

I very rarely see anyone on this board call out players individually. QBs will always take some heat, but otherwise no one gets called out by name. Most of this season is on the coaches....I was expecting a step back, but we are emotionless and underprepared every game.

Only bashing you get from me is this fraud of a coach we have. I blame the AD who hired him and peaced out the most.

Ya, don't get me started on how the AD bailed and left behind the mess, including several other bad hires.

I was optimistic after two pretty good efforts against OU and UT..the last two weeks have dampened that optimism quite a bit. I refuse to believe we can beat anyone until we beat someone...even then I'm going to assume that's an outlier...a statistical anomaly..until we beat someone else.
It blows my mind that our former AD called Jinks last winter..literally out of the blue..no job application or resume on file...and said "I will give you right around a half a million dollars a year to come and coach our football team even though you've done nothing as a college coach to suggest you're capable of doing so"
The same guy who runs the defense is the same guy that coaches the safeties who continually give up long completions between the hash marks...that is NOT encouraging.
The CB's have done a better job of late ....Morgan has come along this year. So Mickens and Padron are maybe doing a decent job. The rest of the staff? Do any of these guys look like they have a "Well coached" group of players?
Thank God for the Temperance Bedford Kicking Mules...district champs and heading to regionals... or I would have no football success to cheer for this year.

BGSU went after a coach, so not ready to be a head coach, he didn't even have an agent. They hire him, give him contract and years, based on the going rate, despite not having an agent. AD bails a week after the spring game. I truly believe Kingston saw this coming. It took me listeining to an interview and 18 minutes against OSU to see it. Then again, the lack of an agent should have said it all. If I have to hear the sob story of how little money BG has to work with, one more time, I'll puke. People all over, go to work, and are asked to do more with less everyday. Why should BGSU athletics be different than that?

BGSU revenue sports have plenty to compete and win in their respective conferences...there is no excuse...this was clearly a terrible hire, not sure how you clean up the mess outside of buying him out.

I don't know what you do. It's why coaching hires are so important. And giving these contracts to coaches who probably would take 50% less to take the job, is so bizarre on a macro level. But several people within the athletic department not titled the AD, wouldn't be this comfortable at other schools.
