Of interest to me was the difference in salaries between BG and tOSU.....not that much relative to the difference in size of budget and teams

All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.
Sounds like a current OSU athletic department employee positioning himself for Krebs staff. I am sure those on the inside hear the rumblings and know who has the inside track. I think he is as good as gone!"Paul was the No. 2 guy when he was here, in terms of day-to-day operations," Ohio State athletic department spokesman Steve Snapp said. "He handled a lot of the nuts and bolts stuff and did a lot of the administrative work. Paul is a very, very talented guy. He did a great job for us in the athletic department."

I can't imagine Mr. Krebs not taking this job if offered and who can really blame him if he leaves. It would be an increase in pay and the opportunity to take over one of, if not the, largest athletic departments in the country. No matter what some of you think of Ohio State, this isone of the top jobs an AD can have.
Mr. Krebs would be missed if he left BGSU. When I graduated from BG in 1998, the athletic department was not something to be proud of. Since Mr. Krebs was hired, it has turned around drastically and much or most of that credit goes to him. He has done wonders for this program. I don't think Dr. Ribeau will ever make a hire as good as when he hired Mr. Krebs nearly 6 years ago.
I hope that if he does in fact leave, the administration at BGSU has the foresight to hire someone who can take what has been built since 1999 and build on it and continue to take this athletic program to new heights. It will be a shame if there has to be a change, but it could also be an opportunity for BGSU.

I thought the same thing, Bill. He would pretty much double his salary, with a ton of headaches to boot.bgbill wrote:http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dl ... /501120392
