I ran across this over at MHT.com. Not sure if anyone has seen it, but Toledo and Miami are essentially rated higher than we are (they are in the likely to break into the top 25 list). We are nowhere to be seen on it. Even Miami fans are expressing shock that we are not listed above them and Toledo...

It's pretty obvious that they don't follow the MAC. They basically know that Miami and Toledo competed for the title game and they had no MAC teams in the top 25, so they picked those 2 to list as teams to break in, because they know that there will probably be 1 MAC team in the final list. It was probably some "computer" program. ::puke::

At least they finally realized we don't play Michigan next year.
Seriously, I know that ANY information is fun to look at this time of year (until August, or at least until Omar has another shitty Spring Game
), but I'd bet my life savings on anything CFN.com has to say before betting a penny on nationalchamps.net.

Yeah, I think they have all those schedules right, and even somewhere else on the site had a 2005 schedule that had it right. Or at least the right teams, I didn't double check the dates.Redwingtom wrote: You were saying....http://www.nationalchamps.net/NCAA/futu ... future.htm

I'm pretty sure we are scheduled for Ohio State in 2010.kdog27 wrote:I do not trust that site, so do we actually play OSU in 2010? If you go to OSU's future schedules we are not listed as their opponent in 2010. Furthur evidence that site sucks.

I think we will see a lot of people excluding us in the prerankings again. They of course are only looking at what we lost and not what we still have. Give it a few games, then things will change...

Spot on.
Let me play devil's advocate for a moment.
First - we're coming off a season in which we lost three "big" games on our schedule - Oklahoma, Toledo & NIU.
Second - we're going into a season in which we play two two very difficult road games - Boise State and Wisconsin.
Put those two together and it's easy to see why someone with relatively cursory knowledge of the MAC wouldn't see us being ranked. That's not a slam on BG, just playing the odds.

I can tell you from former experience that they'll do anything to get a quick schedule. Wanna know where they got that one? EA Sports NCAA Football 2005.UK Peregrine Fan wrote:I agree with you BelieveNBG. I'm pretty sure this is the same site that had Michigan on our schedule until very recently. They obviously look at the MAC as an afterthought, if that even.
Ever play it? Give it a shot, go to a dynasty, and simulate to 2005. It has us at Michigan.
Weird huh.
