Recruiting Sites

I know there was some talk about the recruiting sites having our list of commits wrong prior to NSD.

I compared the following sites against the actual signees and found the following:

1. ESPN/Rivals - Had 21 of the 24 signees listed.
2. 24/7 Sports - Had 20 of the 24 signees listed
3. Scout - Had 19 of the 24 signees listed.

All three sites had James Carolan (walk-on), Wayne Parks, and Ron Freeman listed, but none of the them signed.

All three sites missed on eventual signees Sam Neverov, Derek Downs and Tyree Jackson.

I'm sure you could also add Matthew Tanner to that list. He just decided on Monday to come to BG after everybody was 99.9% sure he was going to Auburn.

Freeman and Parks was interesting. They both decided to change their mind on Signing Day. Did they want to stay close to home. Did the assistant coach dropped the ball and stop recruiting them.

A 3rd player from Sebastian River High School committed to Alabama then decommitted then went back to Alabama. Now their roster is full because they went a different route so that player is going to have to grayshirt next year. It seems like there were a lot of questions coming out of that High School

Parks signed w/ Mid Tenn. , not sure about Freeman. As to Carolan, don't think he HAS to sign an LOI as a walkon yet ( though most kids do) could be hoping for a firm offer, but as LS postion I don't think many get full rides, just come in as walk ons.
