Nice to finally see NIU on the home schedule. Is the the first time since Game Day? ;)

Not bad. The mid week games start on October 31 and run Tuesday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Tuesday. And three of those four are away. Toledo is the Wednesday game. Only five at home this year, but I will trade a home game for only having one mid week at home this year, and it should be a big one. We have the right teams at home this year to really make some noise. Go Falcons!!

Yeah...that's about as "fan friendly" as a five game home slate will get....

Road games aren't bad either. Longest trip is to Murfreesboro and that's in September. MSU and NW are driveable for the weekend.

I get the feeling that we won't be playing six home games any time soon. That bums me out. I do like this schedule, though.

From a shared misery perspective...apparently nobody is playing on Saturday in November

Flip,
Agree that the WHOLE league is in this fix....but i'm not happy with the Nov.schedule, even tho i can make it to Kent easily. And of course theTU game should be at least as competitive as last yr., tho hopefully w/ better results.
Still think MAC is making a mistake by not having each team with at least ONE Saturday game. Think what BG-Toledo would draw on a Sat. Or, OU-Miami, Kent-Akron,just a few Ohio examples.

Sure hope that ESPN $$$ does actually make up the diff. For giving up these games on a Sat.

This is as good a schedule as we could hope for, given that the MAC has whored itself out to ESPN.

For me, not so much. I would usually visit my mom and go to the game @ Kent while I was in NE Ohio -- this year not so much. Making the drive to Buffalo on a Tuesday night in November is dependent on the weather and the success of the team at that point.

The last time we played a home game in November on Saturday? 2012 vs Kent State.

I'll probably be at the middle Tennessee game. That's not a bad drive for us.

Probably the least level of negative reaction to the release of a season schedule that I can recall ever seeing on this board. I kind of miss the usual wailing and gnashing of teeth

I don't have a problem with the 5 game home slate. It's the economic reality of attempting to stay D1A. We cannot afford to play 6 home games every year.

If fans want more home games they better show up and show that we can actually make money with home contests. That hasn't been the case in a long time, so this is our new reality.

And there isn't too much point in bitching about the November games anymore. I think everybody knows where I (and many others) fall on those. But before the schedule was published we knew that there was less than 1% chance we'd have a Saturday game in November. That is the new MAC reality, such that it is.

I'll save my vocal bitching for when the gametimes are announced and we play 1 noon game, a couple 2:00 games, and our only nighttime kick is the UT game on a Wednesday. I expect that's exactly what it'll be because we don't play Saturday evening games anymore, and that's just asinine. But I'll save the bitching for when that becomes reality instead of my speculation :)

I can pretty much guarantee the Sept 9th against South Dakota will be a noon kick.

OSU vs Oklahoma 8pm
Notre Dane vs Georgia 730pm
Michigan vs Cincinnati 330pm
Michigan State vs WMU 330pm
Toledo plays out West so that won't affect much.

BG would be stupid to have a 3:30 or 7:00 kick for this game. Noon is the only logically choice.
