No. He's not going to the NFL and this is his college dream job. What college job could possibly be better other than Alabama? And Saban ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

Actually Saban will be 66 in a few months. I don't see him being a Paterno or Bowden. It wouldn't shock me he retires in 3 years.

Notre Dame. It is probably opening soon and good chance a new AD too. The alumni want Swarbrick gone and if Kelly can't get back to 10+ wins he's out too. Meyer's dream job in his own words is Notre Dame. He probably only has one more shot at it before he retires and that shot is likely in the next year or two.

I like playing Big Ten schools, and I do like taking shots at Ohio State once in a while. But we already had Illinois on our 2020 schedule. This won't be an easy nonconference slate.

We need the paychecks. That is the primary driving force right now behind scheduling so many big time games as far as I can tell.

I dislike this game other than the payday that comes with it. BG has oversheduled its ass off for years to come and I'm betting we don't see a single P5 win because of it. A "good" season will come with almost as many losses as wins in this model. Yes, I understand why we're doing it, but that doesn't mean I like it. Shooting for .500 and better is now our goal with what we've lined up with all these games.

So much for zero state not " lowering" itself to play MAC schools again.

I was thinking the same thing. This feels more like a fundraiser than a football game.

Hard time get excited about playing them again. Closest thing to a guaranteed loss and a probable ass wooping.
