"The 6-foot-1, 280-pound Croslen, the Express-News Defensive Player of the Year, had been committed to Minnesota leading up to National Signing Day. But he withdrew that pledge less than a week beforehand and did not sign with any school on Feb. 1.

Croslen registered 75 tackles, including 28 for loss, and 10 sacks as a senior. He helped the Knights finish as the Class 6A Division II runner-up, losing 38-29 against DeSoto in the Dec. 17 championship game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington."

Now that is some size and a major addition. Any chance that moves the class to #1 in the conference?

According to 24/7 Croslin would have our highest individual recruiting rating by approximately 2 points. They have a calculator on the site that lets you adjust for additional or deleted players. With Croslin added we are, however, still 2nd in the MAC behind Toledo.

I was hoping we might get this guy when he didn't sign on LOI day...he's in the top 50 or so DT's on 24/7.

You could argue that Jinks beat P.J. Fleck on this guy. Nice.

I wouldn't have signed with Minnesota either after all the trouble brewing there. Nor would I sign with Baylor or Michigan State. I would not voluntarily walk into a poisonous situation.
Croslen was smart to back away from a toxic situation and showed patience by not signing with a program on signing day just for the sake of signing day. Without knowing much about this guy I already like him.

Good point about not wanting to sign with Baylor or Mich State as well. Which reminds me we had a recruit decommit and verbal to the Spartans- did he end up signing on the line with MSU?

Believe he was either a preferred-walk on or grey shirt at MSU.

Sparty flipped Noah Harvey, a Wisconsin linebacker, about 24 hours before signing day began. Yeah, he signed with them, as far as I know.

I LOVE this kind of late signee! I didn't expect this kind of quality addition this late in the game. Nice job by the coaching staff, well done.
