Tried to use someone else's University account, perhaps?

Re: Two players charged with forgery
Well, the streak of a BG defensive lineman doing something stupid is alive and well. How many years running does that make a DL doing something idiotic? Seven, eight, maybe nine? I've lost count. I know it's asking too much, but it would be nice if we could make it through one - just one - year without having crap like this happen. Falcons, it's not difficult to understand, if you're doing something you shouldn't be doing, you're gonna get caught. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but you will. It happens all the time.
GO BG!!!

Wow..a fake ID gets you charged with forgery? That's seems a bit harsh.
On edit...
I looked at the roster...they're both 22 One born Feb 06 the other Feb 09 in 1995...which is kinda weird in and of itself. Not saying they wouldn't use fake ID's...but I would think being 22 makes that a bit less likely. Be interesting to hear the particulars as they become available

Re: Two players charged with forgery
Could be a number of things. Fake ID, using someone else's name to cut a check, using a stolen credit card, using a false name to sign a contract/documents, hell they could have used one of those skimmers at a gas station or something.

But, once again, it's a violation of rule #1. Keep your name out if the police blotter!

The fake ID thing was a shot in the dark. I know people that got nailed for that when I was in school because they were trying to get into the bars.

Forging a check is felony fraud. If it were something to that magnitude, I think the word fraud instead of forgery would be used.
Which brings me to my normal point. We don't know what happened. Best not to speculate.

Exactly! Let's treat this just like the Sentinel and the Blade would treat it. Nothing to see here. Move along. Sweep it under the rug. Wouldn't want to write anything bad about the football program. Their Fricker's rights might get revoked by the athletic department. All too familiar these days.MarkL wrote:Forging a check is felony fraud. And yet: We wouldn't know about this were it not for The Blade.CrazyFan wrote:Exactly! Let's treat this just like the Sentinel and the Blade would treat it. Nothing to see here. Move along. Sweep it under the rug. Wouldn't want to write anything bad about the football program.
Re: Two players charged with forgery
Article provided no details. Half the article was filler of where their from and how much eligibility they have left. A lot of hard nosed investigative reporting Wagner did on that one! Don't dig too deep John. Those Little Kickers Boneless are your favorites!Schadenfreude wrote:And yet: We wouldn't know about this were it not for The Blade.CrazyFan wrote:Exactly!
