That right there is the essence of college athletics. The guy in that photo walks away with four things
- a lifetime of memories
- character and leadership development
- championships - three division, two conference, and one bowl championship
- a degree from an excellent university

I blew the picture up. Rings ( and degree) belong to Patrick Hannon, from Brush HS, east of CLE. IIRC, played some LB, some FB over his career. Biggest thing he now has ? That DEGREE!
