Northwestern game

Post by jpfalcon09 »

Anyone plan on making the trip? I saw the alumni association has tickets for $45 and couldn't pass up that deal to make a weekend out of seeing Chicago.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.

Yes, me and my dad are flying in for this one.

Not much of a tailgate scene at Ryan Field so hoping to figure something out pre-game!

Only if I win the trip for two being given away by the official site. Taking Mrs Freak to La Romana, DR, for a week in early October and need the funds there. DD is right about the lack of tailgating at Ryan...was there in 2001.

Come on Freak, you're actually choosing to devote resources to a romantic Caribbean get away with the wife over a BG game? You need to get your priorities straightened out :-D

I'll be heading up with a small group of us from here in Chicago. Looking forward to it. Haven't seen BG play live in a few years.

Well, if it makes any difference, in 2005 we went to Muncie for the Ball State game and it was our anniversary. Made sure Mrs. Freak got some bling. lol. Gotta do these things delicately to keep everyone happy. :-D

I'll be about 30 minutes south of campus for a baptism on Sunday. We are headed in on Friday. I'm trying to make a trip up to Ryan Field work out for Saturday. I have a friend from high school who is a professor at Northwestern so it will be good to catch up.

I hear you, man and feel the same pain. I really wanted to make the trip for this one. Mrs. Beaker is a country music fan and some time ago told me there were a couple shows in Nashville she wanted to see on that very same weekend. I told her (truthfully) that it wasn't really in the budget, since we're taking a vacation in mid-August. After that, I know better than to try to get away with going to Chicago that weekend instead.....I can't afford enough bling to make that happen

Great seats at great prices available at Ryan Field for this game. Would be great to have a lot of orange and brown in the house! Check out StubHub.
