BG Getting St. Louis Recruits

Bowling Green is getting some St. Louis studs. Devin Ruffin is an all state MLB who choose BG over Syracuse, Minnesota & Iowa State. He is a solid plugger. Brad Papez is a 6'7 athletic All-State OL who was triple jumping a year ago. If you watch 90 seconds of Jake Papez's highlights, you'll see why Under Armor gave him an All-American combine invite to San Antonio. The Papez twins turned down Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Arkansas & Cincinnati. Future looks good.

Noticed that Missouri pipeline opening up last year.

Hoping we can "keep" these verbals you mention. Understand that if they continue to get attention more "big name" offers may come and can't fault a kid for changing their mind, but I know they will receive a great education and experience at BGSU and have ability to compete right away on the football field.

St. Louis is a major recruiting hub--getting guys out of there says a ton about how well the staff sells the future. Having said that, if "bigger" offers come to some of these early commits (like last year), all that means is that BG is recruiting talented kids. Having said that, I think judging from who these kids already turned down...theyre good to go.

This is why I raised the question... how many of these kids will take advantage of the early singing period in Dec.? Would hopefully eliminate the last minute " raids " on mid majors by
P 5 's.
