You make them play Ohio! The Bobcats are whipping the crap outta Toledo right now! It's been completely one sided. OU looks like it's using a Babers offense with a Clawson defense out there as they are churning out yards left and right on offense and has bottled up UT'soffense. And this isn't a fluke. Keep in mind Ohio went to the Glass Bowl and beat a Kareem-Hunt led Toledo team with a backup QB last year and is now ripping them apart with a first-year QB (only a Soph) tonight. While we worry about how we can't beat Toledo, Ohio is putting the rest of the conference on notice. They appear on the verge of locking down the MAC for the next few years to come.

Guessing Woodside hasn't seen this much pressure since Miami(Fla.) game. OU's LB's have totally frustrated him.
Biggest question for us? Can we put ANY pressure on him next week?

Who cares about passing yards when you can rush for nearly 400 yards and control the clock.

Well I guess you can say nobody plays defense in the MAC. As I have said before our D is just as good as the other MAC teams. Offense is playing better but we will have to see. I believe we can win now. Better play calling and stop playing man coverage most of the time. I watched Ohio and they played zone or mostly cover 2 defense. Defense has to put pressure on the qb.

We can change the season with a win against Toledo.......

Yippie Skippy. We somehow win the last 2 games and we still finish 4-8, after 4-8 last year...... let's schedule a parade for a .333 winning percentage after 24 games.

While I agree that MAC defenses aren't that great...I see no reason to think we're anything more than the worst of a bad group...or close to it.

Ohio has put the rest of the conference on notice. It's the only school who doesn't have a coach who wins conference titles, and takes better jobs. Ohio has also put the MAC East on notice that they have some pretty terrible coaches right now.

Our defense sucks. It may not be the worst in the MAC, but it's pretty terrible. Most MAC defenses are terrible, so I don't really cry about our lack of defense.

You win the MAC by scoring points. You win in college football by scoring points. Only the elite programs consistently play good defense, so I don't sweat it.

Our problem stems from only scoring 30 points twice this season (not coincidentally our only 2 wins). Score points, and you'll win football games. Eventually maybe Jinks will figure that out.

Run the ball.

Run the ball on Offense to keep the clock moving and them off the field.

Then on defense, you HAVE to blitz early and often and get pressure on the QB. It's been the same thing for years and we refuse to ever do it. Of course this year, we probably don't have the talent to do it. If we just sit back and keep on deploying this idiotic Cover Zero defense, Woodside will pick up apart for about 6 scores. Sure, you're going to get burnt more than once, but if you can hit him a couple times and force some hurried throws, who knows. I see it as our ONLY shot...unless they develop a case of Eric Page hands...lol
