Coaching changes

I'm good with the current change in Defense coaching. But what about the offense? How about a new philosophy with the line on both side of the ball.? We need to get stronger, bigger and a few 300 plus linmen on both sides. I believe or dBacks will be strong as well as our offensive skill positions. That means if our linemen can do any better, gain weight, on both sides we should be able to play in December. Weight coach, head coach this is your make it or break year.

No excuses. That should be the mantra this year.

The offense came to life and most everyone returns. Teo Redding will be missed more than anyone thinks but the depth at receiver is good and young. We've got a QB that ignites the whole offense, an all-conference caliber RB, and an offensive line that now has a lot of experience after late season shuffling. This offense should be excellent this year. All the pieces are in place for excellent pass/run balance, efficiency, and explosiveness.

On defense, there is talent and experience all around. The back seven mostly returns and the defensive line is full of young and big talent. And most importantly, we no longer have a safeties coach masquerading as DC. Just like going into 2015, we now have an actual DC with actual experience who inherits a lot of talent. He is walking into a good situation.

There are big shoes to fill on special teams. The coordinator has shown good things so I feel confident there.

There are no excuses for the coaching staff anymore. There are no more first time coaches, there are sophomores and juniors where there were freshmen, and the talent level is high after great recruiting. No excuses. This has to be the year that all the investments and all the patience waiting through two miserable years pays off. I'm talking tangible improvement. Bowl eligibility, conference title contention. If it's another awful year, I can't imagine there will be anyone else defending Jinks. Especially so seeing as the east was won by a team that just lost their bowl game 50-3 to a team that went 3-9 last year.
