To coach DB's at KSU....

I wonder if Carl Pelini already has someone in mind.

YSU has a great pass defense this year. Pelini might bring his own guys for familiarity. I'd be supportive. Pelini already gets to hire an assistant - maybe now he gets two. That is a good thing.

In a perfect world I'd give Pelini the chance to bring his own guys for every defensive position. Still, this is good news as it's one more guy he can have the influence of bringing on board.

I know we're all having a love fest for Pelini here without him even coaching a spring practice. So not to jump the gun here ... is it safe to assume he is going to take the title of assistant head coach? The previous DC was.

Can we assume Mickens also left for a raise in $$$? Of course he's united with guys from our previous coaching staff... and was the ONLY holdover at BG when Jinks got the job.

Curveball! Just read that Mickens is now headed to the University of Cincinnati to coach CBs. The lure of working for his old team must have been too strong to resist.

UC is definitely a bump up in terms of pay.

Cincinnati's head coach is Adam Sandler, who was a defensive coordinator at Ohio State, has strong connections all around Ohio, and has a strong pedigree on defense. That's a good place to go for a young defensive position coach.

Is Adam Sandler=Luke Fickell some kinda internet meme I'm unaware of?
