Can Bowling Green win a game? Even the Toledo Blade is mocking us.
Coach Jinks certainly has BGSU on the move in a division that requires you to only be better than historically awful programs such as Buffalo, Kent St., and Akron. Urban Meyer said he would do anything for BGSU. How about a buyout?

This is just one journalists' vote. The entire media and coaches vote will be released this morning.

Those are always based on previous year's results. In 2012, both Kent and BG were picked pretty low. Then in late November, Kent and BG played for the MAC east in one of the best conference games I've ever seen. So don't put too much stock into these votes.

Media poll has NIU/Ohio in Detroit with Ohio walking away as conference champions.

John Wagner had a really in depth, hard hitting interview with Jinx today. He asked him real tough questions like, What's your middle name? And What's your favorite color? And Who's your favorite Marvel character? What he didn't mention a peep of was the rash of arrests this off-season. Great hard nose journalism John. Don't ruin those free Frickers rights you get from the BGSU Athletic Department. Got to have those Little Kickers with extra sauce with curly cues and 6 sides of ranch biweekly!!

"Is a hot dog a sandwich?" The perfect summation of the hire of Mike Jinks as the BGSU Football coach.

“The voters don’t know what we have in our locker room — we’re not the same team as last year,” safety Marcus Milton said. “For them to base the vote off last year, I understand, but we believe that we’re better than the fifth-best team in the East Division.”
At least they believe in themselves. I agree with them. I think fifth in the East may be too low. But we will find out soon enough.
Nice preview by John Wagner.

The voters don’t know what they have in the locker room nor does the official team roster. It’s been so fluid this offseason, it changes every day.
Louis Orr would be proud of John Wagner yesterday. That same approach of feeling sorry for the coach, with the guaranteed contract helped Lou rot BG to the bottom of nowhere. Now it’s Jinks turn. He’s embarrassed the University on the field, and his players now off. Just remember the slogan as the losses pile up. A hot dog is not a sandwich.

I watched that Jinx-Wagner interview again. What a weird interview. I kept waiting for Wagner to cut to the chase and just ask Jinx to the 8th grade dance, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. There's always high school for those two I guess.

I'm in the camp where I'm not ready to throw Jinks out yet...but he MUST produce improvement this year. He has to win NOW. We have the most starters back for any Jinks team (although the way the off season has gone, that could take a couple more hits). If the O line stays healthy, the O should be able to move the ball and score...AS LONG AS WE AVOID TO'S. Two years ago we had 33, last year 25. That is horrible. We had 13 total in 2015. If the D is coherent, and it can't get any worse, we'll be in the East race. That's a big IF but let's see what Pelini can do. I've learned to look at things without the O & B glasses.
My take on the MAC Race:
East
Ohio
Buffalo
BG
Miami
Akron
Kent State
West
NIU
WMU
slUT
EMU
CMU
Ball State
Ohio beats NIU in Detroit.
