More like a month. I believe Feb 15 is signing day. Maybe we learned from last year not to worry about rumors about who is and who isn't. It is always intesting but until a player signs it's all speculation.

Then I'd have to agree that there was a lot more discussion here about recruiting this time last year. :(

That's neither good nor bad, just frustrating.

Yeah, we had a lot more info last season. I think we had 3/4 of the eventual class ID'd with a high degree of accuracy.

I don't know, '87. It could be frustrating but until players sign on the dotted line, who really knows?

I always look forward to signing day and after the class of recruits is announced, read up on them.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer:

Brady Minturn, standout Loveland defensive lineman, oral commits to Bowling Green.

Senior 6-6 250 Second team all-state, first team all-district, two-time Enquirer all-star. Had 73 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
"I don't anticipate leaving," Urban Meyer said. "I look forward to being here a long time."

To quote the Budweiser commercials: "True, True."

Just anxious to see how we fill the gaps, I guess. :)

Lost Byrd . . .

Post by OptionQB »

Looks like UC going to the Big East is paying large dividends so far . . . This isn't the first kid we've lost to the Bearcats, but hopefully it's the last for now . . .

Terrill Byrd to UC:

E.J. Morton-Green visited Jan. 7 and is headed for Miami:

CJ Davis visits Bowling Green:

More to come later . . .

UC also got a good one when they signed Byrd's teammate Dominick Goodman out of DI state champion Colerain.

Goodman (6-2, 190 lbs) was quarterback and rushed for 1,985 yards. He originally was going to play basketball at Findlay before he changed his mind. Wish BG could have swooped in before UC got to him.

Hot information!

Post by factman »

I just talked to someone who should (does) know and he said we recieved four committments over the weekend. I may not have the exact specifics, but I believe one was from Ohio, one from Atlanta, one from Miami, FL and one from New Orleans. I believe there was a running back, a defensive back, a defensive lineman, and I don't remember the other one. Sorry for the rather general info, but at least it is something.

The Fl kid may be DB Antonio Smith, the LA kid may be Jacque Jackson a *** LB, the Ohi kid and GA kid...I'm not so sure...maybe the DL was that Muntin kid from Loveland.

Flip-
I think you are correct on the Smith kid from Miami, but I "think" he said the kid from New Orleans, was the running back.
