In 2026, we will head to Iowa State, and in 2027, they will be here at the Doyt!

I had kind of felt like Maryland may be the last P5 game we ever got here, but I'm glad I'm wrong. Looking forward to hosting the Cyclones in about 9 years! LOL

Wonder if this is at least partially due to efforts of current ISU coach?

Nice of Matt Campbell to reward one of his former employers.

This is huge. Wonderful job by Moosbrugger landing this deal. Well done!

As I recall, the last time ISU came here, Mark Miller looked like Broadway Joe for much of the game. But in the end it was their running back, Dexter Greene, that did us in.

BG Football will play at Michigan on September 16, 2023.

That season's non-conference schedule has been filled in 3 of the 4 spots.

@ Liberty
@ Louisiana Tech
@ Michigan
?

I would guess an FCS school. Tough schedule to only get five home games, but here we are.

Yeah, my guess is that it'll be a low-level G5 or an FCS school.

It does kinda suck to only get 5 home games, but it's especially frustrating when at least one home game is guaranteed to be on a weeknight.

I enjoyed playing Michigan and Ohio State more before that debacle in Mike Jinks' Columbus debut.

I sure hope Scott Loeffler has us ready to play these games.

They've learned nothing.

Forgot momentum, forget confidence, forget compiling an undefeated record to give us a sniff at the Top 25 polls and national recognition, forget all of it. Just go for the money.

Shame on them.

Honestly that 2023 schedule is pretty close to the "ideal" schedule:
- one money game
- one home comparative school
- one road comparative school
- one home FCS

This allows for a pay day, a tune up, and two games similar to conference play to get the kinks out, one of which is at home. We nailed this in 2009 - 2011, and 2016. Too bad those years included some stinkers of BG teams. Since then more often that not there have been two money games. Good for the bottom line, bad for the final record barring a nice upset.
2023 is close to the right schedule. I would take that over some other schedules we have seen. Only 5 home games is a disappointment, so let's not make that a habit. And this far out, things can change.

What are you beating the drum about this time?
The Non-conference schedule set several years ago by prior administration that we all knew about long before this thread?
