1.) Fire Jennifer Roos - ✔
2.) Fire Mike Jinks - ✔
3.) Fire Michael Huger - got to wait until March and give him another season to bury the program deeper, but come March and only 10 wins (against teams like Findlay and Our Lady of Peace girls JV Team) - ✔

Roos was a Greg Christopher hire, but don't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

Huger is in line for a telling year. I feel like this team has a lot of potential, but I think it's fair to start to expect results.
I think 18 wins is a realistic expectations. In fact, I think we should win at least 10 in the non-conference and another 10 in the MAC in order for us to call it a good year.
I like Coach Huger a lot. He gets us, being an alum and all. I hope we find a way to start winning basketball games at a high level, because I would love for him to be the guy that gets us back.
I hope to see a lot of people at the Stroh this year. No matter the opponent, there's no sport where a crowd can have an impact quite as much as basketball.

There will be a lot of people in the Stroh this year.......for the Findlay game.

I've got my season tickets. This is my first year as a season ticket holder for men's hoops. I'm excited to see where this team will go this year!

Roos was a Christopher hire who was given a 2 year extension in 2015 by Chris Kingston and crew. Those two years will be last years dumpster fire and this year not to coach. Don’t let the orange pick up trucks get in the way of facts.
It might take until 2021 but BGSU is one BIG step away from the riddance of all things Kingston.

I like Huger. I think he gets the "Community" of BG, but he also does NOT get, at all, the sense of urgency for this basketball program. In fact, I think his alumni status is working against him, because we've been so mediocre for so long they seem to be content with continued mediocrity. I also don't think he gets modern basketball. Building a roster around mediocre pure bigs and undersized "combo guards". No true points, and not enough long athletes. Basketball is now more positionless than ever, and we continue to pigeonhole our roster into hardset positions.
I'll say the same I said last year, and will likely see the same result as we saw last year. With this joke of a D1 schedule you should win 22+ games and win a game in the Q in March. Anything less, in your 4th season, is unacceptable. Of course I don't think we'l win 20 games, I don't think we'll be .500 in conference play, and I doubt we'll even get to the Q let alone win a game there.
The program needs a change, and in typical BG fashion we'll wait at least 1 year too long to make it. Hopefully after buying out Jinks they can find the budget to do the same to Huger. And figure out how to properly utilize the money that Mr. Frack donated. IT probably could start with actually using your freaking scholarships.

Huger needs to win this year or I'm going to be forced to call for his dismissal. That will likely carry all the weight of a gnat in the AD's decision process...but there you have it.
It's not that hard to figure out...Get a big that can clog the middle on D and hit the open 3, a pair of forwards who can work from the outside in... one can bang a little inside if needed while the other can spot and shoot, one guard who can really shoot and has some length and another who can distribute and hit an open shot from mid range and who isn't afraid of a little contact.
Play a lot of zone on D and attack the zone hard with your PG on offense and hope he has the vision to find the open man when the d reacts.
It sounds so easy...it must be harder than that.

Yeah, I'm not sure we have any of that. I guess maybe Turner gives you the guard who can shoot and has length. He's a decent defender.
We certainly don't have the guard who can distribute. Our big doesn't really clog the middle on defense, certainly cannot shoot, and is basically a 1970s offensive option who demands the ball on the block and is clueless in passing out of the double. Plowden could be the "banging" forward, and hopefully Matiss can be the one that can shoot.
Our roster is NOT good. It's too bad that we aren't allowed as many scholarships as every other D1 hoops team.

The roster has no plan. It’s a mess of transfers and plug in players. Huger needed a veteran staff as soon as he got the job (where have we heard that before). Instead, Anthony Stacey is the top assistant for a coach with no prior experience. Stacey coached like a month of D1 ball before BG. If you are going to hire inexperienced coaches, maybe make sure the plan they have includes some experience.

Not to be "that guy" (but I'm gonna be), isn't this the football forum, not the basketball forum?

The roster is big heavy. We got burnt a few years ago and had one guy over 6-6 and they have aggressively over compensated.
