Ohio U...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Well, we have another game tomorrow. I have a gut feeling this team will respond to Coach Pelini. Reports this week say practice has been very lively and the 'Cats are doing their usual underachieving after being picked by everyone to win the East and MAC.

I think we win....41-37.

Tough opponent. The key will be stopping their mobile QB.

I like our chances if we can take care of the football.

I think we have a chance. I definitely think we keep it within 17 points, which is the last spread I saw.

I agree. I think we can score on them and it will likely be a shootout. If we can keep Oulette from wearing us down to where we are on skates in the 2nd half again as we've been in most games, we might have a shot. Put a spy on Rourke so he doesn't kill us with scrambling on broken plays. Too bad we don't have a guy like an Erique Dozier from the late 2000's teams, who would be perfect for that job. How about that blast from the past player reference?

Would be surprised if we don't keep it inside the spread. Won't go so far as to pick us to win, but if we play 4 quarters with passion and effort and get some breaks to go our way, we have a chance. You just never know if you'll see the champ or the chump team from OU on any given day.

Best way to win is to make it a shootout. OU's defense is leaky.

There's evidence the defense is improving, but the lack of depth is leading to fatigue late in games. If anything, trying to hold onto the ball and executing long drives may be the best way to way this game. Nonetheless, I don't believe there's a magical shift this quickly with Pelini taking over the reins. I just hope for better execution and more consistent effort over 60 minutes. BG covers the 17-point spread though.

My prediction just before kickoff is a BG win.

I am very curious how the team will respond to the coaching change. Just a feeling here. I think the team is going to play harder to close the season than the first seven.

Stop running the ball out from the end zone. Take the free 25 yards!!! Half the time we have a penalty on the coverage and start inside the 10. Take the fair catch and start from the 25.
