I hope not. He was nothing special at Nevada.

I'd assume it means he is interviewing or has interviewed, but I wouldn't say it automatically makes him a leading candidate.

I need to do some more research. He has great diversity of experience, coaching at a lot of places and under both Kelly and Saban.
Something to note. Kelly's assistants who became head coaches are a mixed bag. Jeff Quinn, fired. Chuck Martin, doing ok but not breaking through yet at Miami five years in. Butch Jones, successful and then collapsed.
Interesting name. ND knows how to evaluate the talent.

3 years ago NC State assistant Eddie Faulkner was up for the Ball State job and he started following a bunch of their recruits on Twitter. This led all the Ball State people to think he was the guy when that wasn't the case. They ended up hiring Mike Neu.
