"I've got some good young receivers that were red-shirted that will be ready to play," Brandon said. Marques Parks and Corey Partrdige, both freshman, will be given a chance to earn playing time. In addition, Derrick Lett, Brandon Jones and Kenneth Brantley II are going to be challenged to move from backup roles to starting jobs.

Brandon is hoping to utilize the TE position more..."I would love to use the tight end more. We just haven't had a TE that's the total package," Brandon said. "This year, we just didn't have a guy who was a 60-snap guy."

Raishaun Stove is an acedemic casualty.

Looking to fill holes (on the offensive line) are veterans Johnathon Culp and Derrick Markray along with youngsters Drew Nystrom and Patrick Watson. John Lanning is working to come back from surgery. "We have three big holes to fill ... It's probably the biggest question mark on that side. ... I don't anticipate much of a drop-off" "...Kory Lichtensteiger, he might be the best of them all before it's over."

Warthog:

There's been much discussion about Raishun on these boards. Did Brandon offer any more context? If it's "officially" over, it's a sad thing.

What I had above is it. Here is the full text of the RB section:

Pope, who has rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons and scored 21 touchdowns in 2004, along with B.J. Land and Dan macon return at running back. Raishaun Stover is an academic casualty.

i believe raishaun was originally kicked off of the team, but later was given permission to rejoin. i know he was academically ineligible for the entire '04 season. i have heard he is extremely talented, so i hope he is successful in the classroom this semester, for both his, and the team's, sake.

dan macon is also a rb with a lot of talent, who has had limited action on the field due to the success of p.j. and b.j. i'm sure many of you remember his long td run at last year's spring game. i have been told that he has the fastest 40-time on the team, followed by derrick lett, and then steve sanders.
