Just out of curiousity, I looked into a few of the big recruits for next year's class to see how they are doing this year and have a few updates. Feel free to share any others that you guys know of, as I'm not local and don't see any of the highlights.
Riley Keller has Whitmer off to a good start and seems to be putting up pretty solid stats over the last two weeks. They're 4-0 and he's thrown for 630 yards and 8 TDs with no INTs. He had 315 yards and 5 tds against Perrysburg. I know Melton seems to be the sexy get of the class, but I think Keller is just as good, and possibly more college-ready in his skillset.
Tucker Melton is playing for one of the top programs in all of the southern U.S., so he's facing a different level of competition. One of his WRs is a 4-5 star Clemson commit. So far, his results have been so-so. The team is doing well at 4-1, but he is splitting playing time with a junior who is dual-threat, so that has taken away from his stats. So far he's at 428 yards, 5 TDs with 1 INT. He's got the physical tools, but seems to just throw it up and let his tall receivers bring it down a lot. I think he'll have some growing to do in his first couple of college seasons.
I can't find any specific stats for Terion Stewart other than a game where he put up 200 yards a couple of weeks ago. He seems pretty unstoppable at the college level and I think he's going to be a special back here as long as he has a solid O-line in front of him.
That's all I dug up. Curious if anyone has seen or heard anything else!
