"Expect an offensive conflagration, college-football style, sometime early next September in California's Central Valley. If ESPN pulls off the matchup it has in the works, the University of Toledo and Fresno State will put their considerable scoring might on the same field, and see who gets scorched.
ESPN is working with both schools on a game to be played in Fresno in the first month of next season, as part of a home-and-home series between the two. The Rockets would then host Fresno State in the Glass Bowl in a future season.
Sources at UT and Fresno State declined to comment publicly on the game, but confirmed that a deal is being put together for the first-ever meeting between the two, and likely to happen."
