Word has it that when Temple announces its intention to join the MAC, they will dump a few ACC games and pick up a few MAC games.

Here is a thought...

I know this will never happen since they are supposedly joining the MAC, but if Temple drops them we should immediately call all of those teams and try to schedule something. If they come through (again, I realize they won't) we can drop Temple from our schedule next year.

We obviously cannot do this because we would lose the only home OC game we have next year, but going to Boise St., Wisconsin, and (enter any ACC team here) would be pretty sweet.

If we were in the same situation as 2004 and had a I-AA game on the sked, I'd agree. But Temple is I-A, even if they don't play like it most of the time, and they apparently will be a fellow MAC school in the not-too-distant future, so I don't think that would be such a gracious way to welcome them.

Remember, they'll be dropping those games to pick up MAC schools.

Temple announced Maryland, Navy, Miami and Arizona State will definately be on the 2005 schedule.

The other ACC games (UVA, Clemson & NC State) are where the possible changes may occur. Temple also is scheduled to play Middle Tennessee. MT owes Temple a game & I do not think it is a likely "change" game.

UVA came to Philly last season. 2005 is the first games with both NC State & Clemson. The Clemson contract is 2/1 while the NC State contract is 1/1.

Temple's final 3 games are against BG, Toledo & Miami-O.
