I will definitely NOT be updating this every day, but I just wanted you all to know that it's been 727 days since the school up north has beaten Bowling Green in football.

It's not a question of if they suck...it's a question of how much. The answer is tons

It feels so good to be able to talk trash about this right now. I really would love to see the boys come through with another one this fall. 2 in a row would break Toledo - it would happen on their field, we'd keep OUR trophy, and we'd take the all-time series lead back with us on the bus ride home.
Perfect - though I'm sure they'll be ready for us this year.

It's 732 days now, & hopefully we'll still be counting the days after Nov. 4.
Just a reminder: You can't spell pUTrid without UT.

The MAC sold its soul for ESPN money...there's no other explanation for this being the first game for both teams. They wanted to make sure it's on ESPN mid-week.

All crossover games will be the first week. Then teams will only play within their division. The logic here, I guess, is that the crossover game is less important for most schools, a bit like getting the nonconference games out of the way early.
I'll be surprised if ESPN does not air our opener on ESPN2 or ESPNU, though. It seems like an obvious choice, especially given our win last year. This is usually a good football game, no matter what the records are heading into it.

Just the way the schedule broke. I think it's good for both programs that they open with a likely national TV audience who may be a bit more interested in checking out mid-week MAC football than previous years.

Sold it’s soul? Seems a little dramatic. Since the MAC teams collectively lost 10’s of millions, making a few more Benjamin’s under the circumstances does not seem like a bad tact. As far as playing a “superior” opponent in Football, rivalries aside, I would rather catch them week 1 VS week 6. Team is already on Toledo prep.
