Camp officially opened today. Some news and notes from the media on Twitter:
Via Jordan Strack - McDonald looked good. O-line is inexperienced. BG has playmakers though and the offense should function better this season. Melton is out with a shoulder injury and Keller is #3 on the depth chart.
Two players are opting out due to covid concerns, one is Evan Brown, Unknown who the other is.
Schedule is supposed to be released sometime this week. There is rumor that BG/Toledo will play Nov. 4th.

Opening with Toledo would be interesting. I like the idea of being able to gameplan for them all of camp, but it also allows for them to scheme us up, too.
Very interesting. Really excited for the season, should everything go according to plan.

Hate that for Evan Brown. I know he had some family who were at high risk, so I'm sure he felt opting out was something he needed to do. Certainly respect that decision. I hope that he sticks around for the additional year.

The opening game is going to be all out of whack for everyone. We had a few days of spring camp, six months of no practice and all uncertainty, then a month of camp and then abbreviated season opener. So to add a rivalry where the previous year was a stunning upset to the equation and you've got probably the most bizarre opening to a season I've ever seen.

The opener?
I don't love it. But I can see why the MAC and ESPN might.

If Melton is hurt and Keller QB3 who is QB2? The walk on from last year, Davis?

I was wondering the same thing. I assume it's not the PWO freshman from Tennessee, though he is a massive dude.

Keller would be the de facto #2 with Melton being out.

If McDonald went down today, it would be Labronz Davis.

Its the beginning of camp so Davis is #2 because he has been here. As Melton and others go thru camp, that may change. I hope the OL and DL show marked improvement else we will not improve much.
