Buffalo -31 at Bowling Green
Maybe this is the week we see a freshman quarterback & not those transfers (28% completion percentage) he rants against. Also not all coaches who replace a coach who was fired and has success, is because of the previous coach. That was part of Scots rant last week. That’s just a flat out false statement from Loeffler. It’s almost as if people have had success after his staffs have been fired at previous places. Urban Meyer because of Gary Blackney. Luke Fickell isn’t having success because of Tommy Tuberville. Brian Kelly didn’t have success because of Charlie Weis. The list goes on and on and on. False. College sports and transfers are basically free agency these days. Choosing not to take advantage, and ranting about it in a press conference is probably not a good method because it will get worse going forward. In 2019 Jim McElwain went and got a grad transfer from Houston to play quarterback. They won. In 2019 Scot Loeffler got McDonald and Wade who was working at Home Depot. That's coaching.
Re: Buffalo -31 at Bowling Green
I have no problem with how he is trying to recruit and rebuild. My issue is that we’re getting smoked by MAC opponents and look completely unprepared on game day.
Someone can tell Loeffler that you are allowed to coach the current players from now to when he has multiple recruiting classes on campus.
Dave Clawson keeps being thrown up as the poster child for how this thing should go...news flash, if Clawson was coaching against the current MAC East, he’d have been fired after his initial contract ran out.

Re: Buffalo -31 at Bowling Green
If he was going to get transfer quarterbacks, why did he get guys buried or moved on from Boston College? Did he look anywhere else? Again, he has recruited McDonald twice. How has no quarterback emerged that is even worth developing if getting destroyed every week was part of the plan? Those should have been the talking points last week. Not the eight bullet point excuse making checklist he addressed, and the "use BG" stuff. People have used BGSU for years. Most often the ones who "use it" the most are the ones who create the greatest moments. Clawson used it, Babers used it, Doege used it, pretty much they all do.
