BG is +13.5. I'll be popping in on it, but UM/Sparty will be getting my attention. The weather is looking poor in Buffalo with an 80% chance of rain on Saturday, which means expect the running game to dominate for Buffalo. I don't see BG hanging for four quarters if that's the case.

UM/MSU is going to be huge....potentially a classic Our game at Buffalo will not be viewed as such. We are looking at our 13th consecutive conference loss. Gary Blackney's career as a HC died at Buffalo...a harbinger of things to come?

Scott has a way to go to be the worst. EMU lost 21 straight MAC games form 1980 -1982 under different coaches. 16 of those losses appear to have been under a guy named Mike Stock

Kent lost 17 straight from 1981-1983 and then they lost 14 straight from 92-93, What's interesting about the 14 game streak is it was under one coach..a guy named Pete Cordelli.

SL is approaching MAC history

Last time we were at Buffalo, BG was at the wrong end of a serious beatdown. I remember writing up this little gem ...

The family is all at my parents house with three generations, with grandkids running around having fun. The family room has the staircase going up and a window on the second floor to look down. Below that window is a train track with a model train going around the whole room. At one point we played a game where the kids would throw stuffed animals out the window to the family room below. Among the animals were plush from family universities, including a Michigan Wolverine, a Cincinnati Bearcat, and a Bowling Green Falcon. The supposedly responsible adults threw the animals up through the window and then the kids would rain down plush animals.

At one point during this, the Falcon went flying at high speed, off target and low. It banged into drywall, dropped, and on the way down derailed the model train. Down to the floor crashed a Bowling Green Falcon and a model train as collateral damage.

Never have I seen a better parallel to a football game.

Here's to less of a trainwreck.

Somehow I feel the same beat down coming. Drive three hours, sit in rain, freeze, watch train wreck, endure maddening disappointment and bouts of anger, hug the boy at the bus, give him a $20, drive home late….. priceless.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

I want $20.

I think we all want $20....Scott should give us at least $20 for pain and suffering. I was an insurance claims adjuster for 6 years...I should know

And those programs have done very little since and with multiple coaching changes as well. Is this what we have to look forward to in the next 10-15 years? Furthermore, i think Kent and Eastern are getting the better of us nowadays recruiting. Kent St?? Eastern??

Having been an insurance adjuster for the last 26 years, I'm confident to say my claim for pain and suffering endured by watching this program in recent years is worth a good bit more than what may soon buy us a loaf of bread and a of a gallon of milk.

How do you let a program go from winning a MAC Championship to worse than Eastern Michigan & Kent?

1) Give a AD with a orange pickup the ability to hire whoever he wants no questions asked. Jinks and the ass slapper.
2) Keep Mike Jinks around too long.
3) Allow the right hand man of the previous AD to hang around and have a huge say in the next hire, while tossing money in Lake Erie for a search firm.
4) Allow the fantasy of Dave Clawson to continue to convince you that guy you hired can coach.
5) Give the guy 5 years to fully reck it to the ground while lowering the standards based on previous coaches leaving for better jobs, after actual success.
6) Continue to fantasize about the 2013 MAC Championship game

It's incredible that you've found so many ways to say the exact same thing every time you "contribute" here. Really impressive stuff.
