Arth out at Akron

Post by roguewarrior »

Reported that Arth out at Akron. Didn’t think they had the stones or the money. Wonder if that makes Loeffler grip a little more??…..

Odd timing seeing as they played Ball State so close. Regardless I was thinking he would be out at season's end. The guy has won I think 3 total games - one FCS, two over BG. The first win over BG, McDonald's arm was injured and of course the 2020 team was just a disaster, and this year caught the team napping. Arth was just a bad hire - he had a losing record at an FCS when he was hired as I recall.

Curious to see what direction Akron goes. Akron has replaced EMU as the conference's worst program so their hire represents the floor of what the conference can hire.

I’d like to think we are miles above Akron, but they do the same crap behind the scenes we do sometimes….. got a friend who plays there…. and they beat us two years in a row…..

Read $640,000 buyout for Arth.

Yeah, thought UA was hurting for money? Maybe someone stepped up to cover his buyout.

I think they got a new AD who cut the cord?

They must not have kept the right hand man of the previous AD around.

3-24 in his tenure and two of those wins are against BG. The other this year vs. Bryant.

If two wins against us gets you fired...what should two losses to them get Scott?

Flipper, had Arth declared he was "headed to the moon" and it would take 5 years to rebuild, he would have fans saying they are happy with the results. Scot did a masterful job of taking 3 prior horrible years, under a joke of a football coach, at a much better football program, and lowering the standard of all involved. Combine that with the fantasy he is Clawson, and many believe Loeffler is doing a good job.
