Sami said he worked for the Melbourne, Australia, equivalent of TSA in for several years before deciding to see if he could make a go of punting an American football. Australian football players are excellent punters.
Odieu, who goes by "O.J.," is of Haitian descent and speaks Haitian Creole fluently with his family.
Perhaps the biggest jaw-dropper for me is that Sami's first organized American football game may well be the season opener in the Rose Bowl. Imagine playing your first ever American football game in the Rose Bowl!
Sami also enjoys eating fish and chips. Back in Australia, the fish in fish and chips come from gummy sharks.
