Our former boy Dino Babers is also on the list at #6.

People are going to expect us to be bad until we’re not bad anymore. I really hope that’s this fall.

Seems fair. And, obviously, the seat is even warmer now that Moose is looking for another gig.

Loeffler still controls his destiny though. A good 2022 could change everything, and I hope that's what we see this fall.

David Shaw and Pat Fitzgerald could literally murder people on campus and not get fired.

As soon as Shaw would show genuine interest, the NFL would scoop him up within the hour. They love him.

I've never gotten the fascination with Fitzgerald. Seems very douchey to me, but NW is not going to fire one of their program heroes, maybe ever.

At first I was a little surprised that Albin was higher on the list than Loeffler but it makes sense. Following a legend is hard, just ask Bill O'Brien. I do not envy whoever takes over when Saban retires.

It is year four for Loeffler. Naturally it is time to show some results. He's got the pieces in place for a second straight improved season so hopefully the seat will be much cooler next year.

Looks like just some guy's opinion website, but no doubt SL needs to show improvement. The "rebuild" is over. Couple that with what seems like a new AD coming in at some point, his future is murky at best if the results aren't there.

Anything written anywhere is someone’s opinion. That said, what really matters, is the opinion of the person that would decide whether he stays or goes. So, who is the man/ person behind the curtain at BG? Who can say he is OUT, or he STAYS? There may be a committee, or a new AD….. but someone sways it/owns it. I have no idea who this person is at BG….. does anyone have that intel?

AD and the university president.

I am guessing the money man/group behind the scenes, who breaks off money for the programs as needed, would have the most influence. Certainly the AD and Pres sign off.

It is Rogers. Moosbrugger stated to donors that a decision to fire Huger after to last season would have to come from Rogers, so I would assume the same would be true in football. Let's just hope Bob can actually find a job to get him out of here.

That's a weird thing for Moose to say. I've never been around an AD who would say they don't have authority to dismiss someone. If a buyout is involved, you'd definitely have to get *approval* from a president, but the decision should firmly be held by an AD who leads the teams of the program.

Moose probably means that Rogers has to approve the decision as you mention. Likely a contextual error on his part if that was the quote.

It would be a weird thing for Moose to say, and I doubt he said that. This is the way he put it to The Blade:
David Briggs, The Blade, March 2, 2022 wrote:While athletic director Bob Moosbrugger expressed support for Huger and excitement about the next wave of recruits, I asked him if Bowling Green is committed to the coach for next season.

“I’ll discuss that with coach Huger, and president Rogers, and I will discuss that after the season is done,” he said.
A decision to end a head basketball coach's contract early would have significant financial implications. Any MAC AD would want to consult with the university president on a decision like that.

Just as. I have said in the past, Moose is occupying a seat but isn’t and can’t do much. If the clock wasn’t running, I’m surprised he was “allowed” to hire a new softball coach.

I didn’t take it to mean much. It was a quiet hire, just promoting an assistant (and another alumnus) from within.
