Actually, think that is too many points myself. Total let down spot for Marshall.

I don't know...after beating ND, Marshall could be eying that UC playoff spot from last year...or at least a prime bowl game as a means of returning to the national stage. They're going to be motivated to really lay a beating on us. I hope we understand that and are prepared for it

This is not the Marshall team of yesteryear and Bob Pruitt, Chad, Randy, Doug Chapman etc. They can be beaten...just not by us.

Marshall's coach Huff is a young coach who is going to have his hands full keeping the team focused after an unprecedented win. If the team is in hangover mode all week, BG has a chance at a massive upset, especially if BG is mad and focused. Or if Huff has his team focused, this could be a long day with the wrong kind of highlight video fodder.

Sad state of affairs when our hopes for victory hinge on the other guys taking the day off. Marshall has traditionally been a peer of ours...now we're looking at them like they're UCLA

No way BG wins this game. Not sure they even cover a 18 point spread for Homecoming. I'm probably taking Marshall here until it reaches -20.

I'm currently planning to leave after watching the band at halftime. It's up to the team to keep it close enough for me to be interested in staying beyond that.

I don't think we keep this game close at all. The wheels have fallen off and Marshall is rolling. They have an identity with running the ball and playing tough defense. Sadly I think this goes terribly like 42-10. I would take -18 all day

I agree. They just missed getting into the top 25, & they're gonna want to prove they deserve to be there. The defense was allegedly our team's strength, & we just gave up 59 points to an FCS team. Saturday is going to be very ugly. Our only hope is that Marshall spends all day running the ball, which will keep the clock moving, limit the total number of possessions and increase our chances to hold them under 60 points.

If the ND game is any indicator, they'll feature a run heavy scheme. 50 rushes compared to 21 passes. Two of those rushes were sacks, so really 48/23. They were pretty close to the same balance vs. Norfolk State. Probably see BG commit to the run and go man on the outside, which could get ugly.

I'm surprised it's only 18. I'd be laying 30 and wouldn't worry. We're giving up an average of 41.5 a game in regulation and 52 ppg overall.

Hope BG gets a W, but nothings given me a sign for optimism.

"Falcon Tailgate Park" opens at 2:00pm on Saturday.

I assume that's just the area with the big tents, right? Not the entirety of the parking area around the stadium?

Yes, that's the area north of the visitor's center which includes the kids play area.

Rasheen Ali returned to practice for Marshall on Tuesday. He had been out on a personal leave of absence. He ran for 1,401 yards and 23 TDs last year.

Good luck to the defense if he suits up Saturday.

How to beat Marshall ....
- no turnovers
- no bad snaps
- TDs and not FGs in the red zone
- no ill time penalties
- slow but not necessarily stop the run
- slow down the offense which did more damage to ND than the CJ Stroud led Buckeyes did
- no letting the Marshall offense off the hook when they're behind the chains
- block another punt

Yeah, how on earth is this betting line only 3 possessions?
