Didn't Kevin Leady (QB) from Pemberville verbally commit a ways back and Antraz Burton (DB).

Leady decided to play baseball, and Burton failed his ACT so we pulled his offer.

Antraz Burton, according to an article recently posted, did not get a high enough score on his ACT and his schollie offer was pulled back. He has since verballed to CMU.

In something that should go into the FAQ with the Michigan game, etc, Kevin Leady is not going to be playing football for BG or anyone else in college. He has verbally committed to BG, but will be a member of the baseball team, not the football squad. The national recruiting services have yet to pick up on this subtlety, but that shouldn't shock anyone.

If I were going to do this list -- and I'm not, but if I were -- I'd turn it into a grid and list the source for each verbal (and maybe a URL to the news story).

To me, there is a difference between the Bay City Times reporting something and posters passing on what they've heard.

Posters here may be more accurate than the media. Or not.

It would also help us get a better handle on who these kids are.

Just a thought.

I appreciate this thread, though. That's quite a list we appear to have.

My bad, I knew both of those. Wasn't thinking I guess.

Note to self, don't look at Rivals.com or Scout.com, faulty information there.

At one time JJHuddle had us getting a verbal from Cory Olanyian, a WR from Norwalk as well as DE Stephen Zywotek, the D-2 Defensive POY from Avon Lake.

With the uncomfirmed and uncorroborated "sources close to the team" verbals of Rhett Magner, Brady Minturn, Antonio Smith, Aaron Davis and potentially others . . . That brings my total to 20 as well.

Here's the breakdown thus far:

-4 Offensive Linemen: Theinsiders.com lists them as 2 tackles and 2 guards
-2 Linebackers
-2 Running Backs
-3 Wide Receivers and wishful thinking on my part says Magner is not one
-2 Defensive Backs
-2 Defensive Lineman: Both of whom are more of the DE or OLB frame as of now
-1 QB/Ath
and yes 4 Tight Ends of which at least 2 and maybe 3 will be moved . . . or at least I hope so.

-8 are from Ohio
-2 are from Florida
-1 is from Louisiana and that number could be as high as 3 by the end of the week
-1 is from Alaska
-3 are from Illinois
-1 is from Arizona
-2 are from Michigan
-1 from Indiana
-1 from Pennsylvania

-19 are high school seniors
-1 is a JUCO transfer with 2 remaining years

I heard ranges from 20-27 or 28 as far as how my schoarships are available.

I would like to see at least one Defensive Tackle added, another Offensive Lineman and whatever else happens happens . . . I just hope we end up with the Louisiana guys.

According to JJHuddle the Zywotek kid you're talking about is going to Findlay. I'm not sure on how accurate that information is but take it for it's what's worth.

I'm not big into the recruiting side of things, I just hope for the best but I was wondering what does 'ath' stand for? I gather that it has something to do with being able to play multiple positions but I do not really know. Thanks.

"Ath" is for "athlete," I suspect. So, yes, this would be a player who could fit in several places.

That's what I guessed so maybe I am not as dumb as I thought.
