Was at the union yesterday and saw Omar come in with a boot on his right foot and on crutches. Does anybody know what the deal is?

This is not the kind of news I was looking forward too. I'm sure he's fine though. He has to be fine.

Some times no news is good news. If this would have been a major surgery or break we might have heard about it by now. Hopefully their is nothing wrong

He's had a bad foot/toe the whole season. Since the season is over I'm certain they're finally getting to it now.

Didn't some UCLA boys get in trouble for that a few years back?

I think it was FSU quarterback Chris Rix

UCLA's Cade McKnown did that...did Rix do the same thing or did he just have a buttload of traffic tickets?

FSU quarterback Chris Rix, who appears to be getting his game together on the field, is once again running into controversy off the field.

The Florida State quarterback received a $100 fine Wednesday for using a bogus handicap sticker to park in a handicapped space near one of his classes.

Rix's vehicle was booted and a note left on the windshield by students who recognized the Florida State quarterback and chastised him for the violation.

FSU's vice president for university relations says Rix needs to be an example to students and ballplayers and a proud representative of the university. Lee Hinkle said, "actions such as those he took last week don't do that.''

Administration officials said the athlete paid the fine immediately to recover the vehicle.

Athletic department spokesman Rob Wilson said that the handicap sticker was not issued by athletic department trainers.

Coach Bobby Bowden says Rix, who passed for a career-high 394 yards in Saturday's 47-to-7 win over Colorado, would be disciplined.

The discipline, however, was not specified.
