Scot Loeffler is 13-29. Bowling Green is about to give the lowest standard contract extension in school history. BG has no championship level qb on the roster.
Preseason MAC East
1) Ohio
2) Miami
3) Buffalo
4) Bowling Green
5) Kent State
6) Akron
Add in just 5 home games and I’ve got BG over under at 4 wins.
Where will BG be picked in MAC East next year?

I think a lot of it is going to depend on what type of attrition we see.
Hard for me to set standards without knowing what the roster will look like, as of now.

Won't be able to answer this question until after spring ball.

I think Akron may leapfrog BG and Kent...like everyone else, I think we'll have a better sense of things after the spring

Re: Where will BG be picked in MAC East next year?
The MAC East is going to break down into two simple categories. Ohio will win the East, and the rest of the East teams will not. Period. No one is going to touch Ohio in the East, and the year after that for that matter. Ohio's offense is going to be unstoppable for MAC teams. They return the MAC Player of the Year at QB (he's healing ahead of schedule), the MAC's top WR corps, and one of the MAC's best RB's and OL's in the league as well. And if that's not impressive enough, get this, the only offensive transfer they've had thus far was a 4th string QB. In this day and age, that's almost unthinkable. As gapped as OU was offensively last year (before Rourke's injury), they're going to be even better in 2023. And their defense was way, way better the second half of the season once they grasped their new schemes under their new DC. As for BG, I'd say a best case scenario is probably 3rd, but I'm expecting a more realistic 4th or 5th place finish. We just still have too many areas in need of improvements, our offensive scheme can't keep pace or ahead of the upper tier teams in the MAC when they're healthy, and we also lost too much returnable talent in the transfer portal.
GO BG!!!

We finished out of the money with a SR QB and a bunch of P5/NFL players who have since left. I don't see us being anywhere close to the top if the MAC east this year
