Well it doesn't help that every one of these games is on the road. Ohio would likely be favored if they played in Athens. But as usual there will be a surprise or two. Outright win or close ones. Would not be surprised if the Rockets beat Illinois and Ohio win as well.

I think CMU has a chance to shock MSU. State is in a state of disarray...

Is Liberty good?
I don't know much about that school. Can someone tell me about it?

Liberty is building a monster football program. They have a ton of money to throw around, possibly because their online education program is so lucrative. The vision seems to be to build an evangelical Brigham Young- or Notre Dame-type university and football program in the East. They hired Jamey Chadwell away from Coastal Carolina, where he had gotten them into the Top 25, and are thought to be paying him $4 million per year. They are a very big tuna among the minnows of Conference USA.
This game will be a big challenge, no question.

Liberty is the 5th largest school in the country...surprisingly enough, FIU is 3rd...

Wouldn't be the first time...CMU has hung L's on Sparty a few times.

Coming back to this: Given these lines, I like Toledo's chances at Illinois, and I'm skeptical Bowling Green can get within 12 points at Liberty.
I hope I'm wrong, of course. I believe it was Odieu Hiliare who was saying in Detroit that this Falcon team is going to surprise some people. But we do have a tough schedule out of the gate.

I will be thrilled if we are somehow better than 1-4 on October 1.
I think this team has a chance to be solid, but the schedule isn’t favorable whatsoever in the month of September.

This team is just a decent Head Coach away from being solid…I’d say we’ll be looking to add one in November, but apparently it’s still Mike Jinks fault the team isn’t winning, so Loeffler may get another 5 years.

Hell I read it’s still Babers fault in some places.

It was Babers fault then more Jinks fault, but now it's back to more Babers fault. No single person has had more impact on the decision making around BGSU Football for the last decade and it's downfall than _________. (I don't even have to type his name)

Nicely done…that one made me laugh.
In all honesty, guest is probably right. The last 3 coaches haven’t done a good job with the overall health of the program. Babers could coach on gameday, but all other aspects of the program went backwards. Jinks was a disaster and Loeffler is between mediocre and bad. One guy did have his hands on all 3 hires.

Babers won...he recruited relatively well given that he only had one actual class. Loeffler has been more damaging than Babers, Jinks decimated the program. Regardless...Both Babers and Jinks have been gone more than long enough to right the ship. SL has NOT righted the ship
